My name is David Gumberg and I'm a junior Ruby on Rails developer. I firmly believe that computers and software should enrich human work and life, not be an obstacle. So, after years of solving computer problems with computers (C, C++), I am transitioning to solving human problems with computers, using Ruby on Rails.

I am building an open-source self-hosted book cataloguing software for small libraries and personal collections that connects to public API's to populate your catalog with relevant data about the items in your collection.
