I've been working with Rails applications since 2007 - building from scratch, maintainting, upgrading, or adding features.
With my consulting firm Parallactic, I've worked as a lead developer on Rails projects including:
- A custom content management system for a scientific computing group
- A interactive digital humanities site for a researcher with an NEH grant
- A searchable database of historical telescopes for a research team with NSF and NEH funding
- A real-time dispatch board for a busy bike messenger service
- An online shopping interface for a small grocery store, which interacts directly with the store's custom point of sale system to provide real-time inventory data
- An initial prototype for a crowdsourced lending startup
