I am passionate about helping first-time founders navigate the complex world of software development. My approach focuses on discovering, planning and building the MVP that that lets you to validate your concept, raise money, or get your first paying customers quickly while assisting you with establishing the long-term roadmap of your product.
My 25 years of experience in software development span three countries and fields as varied as online banking, text messaging, politics, logistics, e-commerce and sports facility management. I've been technical lead, co-founder, CTO and independent consultant, building and shipping product every day by myself or with small teams, from one-person shops to VC-backed scale-ups with successful IPOs and private exits.
What sets me apart is my commitment to making myself replaceable. I create maintainable, well-documented code as well as automated testing, deployment and monitoring practices that make it easy to bring development and operations in-house when you’re ready. My goal is to provide maximum value at every stage while setting you up for independence and long-term success.
My preferred technical stack is Ruby on Rails (with Hotwire Native for mobile), which empowers me to build and ship fully functional, well-tested and feature-rich apps within a few weeks (or sometimes days).
