Ex-linguist turned Software Developer with Micro-SaaS Experience
Private informationDescription
I initially went to school for linguistics—studying a variety of different languages, before learning that it is difficult to make a living as a linguist. So reluctantly, I became a developer.
Then I discovered something that surprised me—I enjoyed it. What's more, I discovered that my linguistics background gave me a huge leg up and programing was easy to learn.
I worked in React and JS for a bit, before switching to Rails and doing that full time. Since starting, I have built and maintained a Rails application from scratch. And I have become a member of the community surrounding Bullet Train. That work has given me a deep understanding of MVC, RESTful architecture, and the Rails Way.
I love working in Rails and I also am very comfortable in Bullet Train.
