New profile

I am a passionate full-stack developer, AI researcher, and aspiring biomedical engineer with a strong foundation in software development, data science, and hardware prototyping. My expertise lies in building scalable web applications, designing AI-driven solutions, and leading cross-disciplinary projects in wearable technology and healthcare analytics. In addition, my academic specialization is in data analytics, particularly in regard to bioinformatics, such as Clinical and Genome informatics. Analyzing data with a python-based scripting language, Snakemake, and constructing comprehensive analysis reports with genomics libraries as well as R markdown. With experience in full-stack development using React (Next.js), Express.js, Ruby on Rails, and cloud deployment on Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, Fly.io, Render and Heroku, I have developed an inventory management platforms, and AI-driven predictive models, and am currently working on an e-commerce application. I thrive in roles that challenge me to innovate, whether it’s designing seamless user interfaces, optimizing backend performance, or integrating machine learning for real-world applications. Beyond software, I have worked on biomedical and sports tech innovations, including a head-mounted IMU wearable for motion tracking that outperformed industry standards in 3 metric analytics. I also have experience prior to my capstone collaborating in engineering teams to develop smaller prototypes for various technologies such as sepsis monitor, virtual reality training program for biomedical technicals, and various other small projects in my degree. My background in bioinformatics and AI research has allowed me to develop a sepsis prediction model using machine learning, focusing on optimizing predictive accuracy through feature engineering and statistical modeling. I am driven by curiosity, problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering impactful solutions. Whether it’s scaling a startup idea, designing AI models for healthcare, or crafting efficient backend architectures, I bring a blend of technical expertise and entrepreneurial vision.

Rails/React Developer

Recently updated

I am a web developer from India, working with Ruby on Rails, React, and Next.js, with a strong foundation in building scalable and user-friendly web applications. Before becoming a full-time developer, I was a teacher at a diploma school. My journey into web development began from scratch, and it wasn’t an easy transition. I started learning through The Odin Project, an open-source, project-oriented curriculum. It emphasized practical learning and warned against the pitfalls of “tutorial hell,” encouraging a hands-on approach from day one. Following this path, I adopted a “read-and-build” mindset: I learned HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Git, while building real-world projects to solidify my skills. Once I gained confidence with the fundamentals, I ventured framework with React, creating single-page applications that boosted my confidence. I started freelancing while actively seeking full-time roles, which led me to a position at a startup where my journey with Ruby on Rails began. At the startup, I developed likeness for Rails and its “convention over configuration” philosophy. I built RESTful APIs, implemented Active Record ORM, wrote unit tests using Minitest, and integrated these features with front-end user interfaces. I also had the privilege of building projects from scratch, including MVPs—a hands-on experience that sharpened both my technical and problem-solving skills. The only thing that mattered to me is being a better developer than I was the day before.

I'm a full-stack web developer with a strong focus on building scalable, user-friendly applications that solve real business problems. My background in freelancing has given me direct experience working with clients, allowing me to deeply understand business pain points and the importance of asking the right questions to uncover users' true needs. I specialize in Ruby on Rails, CSS, and Stimulus, and I enjoy building small libraries to enhance development workflows. My approach to development balances design with usability—prioritizing clean, intuitive interfaces without sacrificing simplicity and performance. I'm also committed to CI/CD principles and have taken the time to learn Docker, knowing that investing in infrastructure pays off in the long run. Beyond web development, I take a broad interest in computing as a whole, recognizing how different abstraction layers, from hardware advancements to social adoption trends impact the field. I also take a history driven approach to learning, always asking why and when industry paradigms were adopted to better understand their purpose and evolution. I believe technology should empower people, and I’m especially interested in platforms that create financial opportunities whether it's helping businesses grow or supporting entrepreneurial pursuits. At the core, I'm always looking to refine my craft, whether by digging deeper into Ruby’s idioms or exploring new ways to build better, more efficient systems.
