Full Stack Senior Rails Dev, TDD believer, Unix fan, loves to ship

Built my first game at the age of 12 on a C64.

Moved on to robots, mainframes, web and mobile apps. Have built multiple dozens of Rails apps. Experience with large scale systems, cryptography, cloud and devops. Love to write code that makes people happy. Strong believer in TDD. Self taught developer, guitarist and car mechanic.

Recently designed and delivered a new student progress report for our education SaaS platform. What makes it unique, is that students can see their growth, even if they are a bit behind. This enforces their self esteem, without hiding the fact that they are lagging. This was very well received by students, parents and teachers.

I get really excited whenever we can design and build things that make their lives and/or work easier. Quickly understanding the domain of the customer by asking the right questions as well as focusing on adding value for them, is what sets me apart from many others.

Besides Ruby and Rails I also have experience with Linux, Devops (AWS/Chef), SaaS, PKI, Java, SAML and more.
