I have over 20 years' experience as a "web application" developer, in a variety of languages and technologies (PHP, Perl). I've been a Rails developer since there was a Rails, releasing my first app on 0.11 in 2005, and have kept up with it since. I'm comfortable working at entire levels of the app stack, from tweaking drop shadows in SCSS to optimizing database queries and debugging stack traces.
