Full-Stack Web Developer | Creating Useful, Meaningful, and Delightful Web Applications

My Developer Story About Me I’m entirely self-taught—no bootcamp, no CS degree, just a deep curiosity and a drive to build things that matter. My journey started with The Odin Project’s Ruby on Rails curriculum (https://www.theodinproject.com/paths/full-stack-ruby-on-rails), but I quickly realized that real growth comes from rolling up your sleeves and building something from scratch. That’s how PaceMaker (https://pace-maker.onrender.com) was born—a full-featured Rails app for cross-country coaches and athletes, inspired by challenges my dad faced as a coach for over 25 years. Every feature, from real-time team messaging to Strava integration, was shaped by real user needs and continuous feedback. Milestones & Lessons Learned One of my proudest milestones was launching PaceMaker and seeing it actually used by teams to track progress, set goals, and stay connected. Building it solo—while raising a newborn, supporting my wife through nursing school, and working part-time—taught me not just technical skills, but also perseverance, time management, and the value of listening to users. I learned to prioritize clarity, reliability, and simplicity in both code and user experience, and I’m always looking for ways to refine my work as I grow. What Drives Me What excites me most is the opportunity to create tools that make a genuine difference for real people. I love the craft of writing clean, thoughtful code, but I care just as much about the impact of what I build. My experience training new employees in other roles has shaped how I communicate—whether I’m pair programming, writing documentation, or walking through a PR, I aim to make complex ideas accessible and foster real collaboration. I thrive in environments where autonomy, ownership, and thoughtful problem-solving are valued, and I’m always eager to learn something new or tackle a challenge others might shy away from. That’s what I bring to every project and every team I join.

I’m a junior web developer with a strong focus on front-end technologies and currently learning Ruby on Rails to deepen my understanding of back-end development. Although I’m still at an early stage with Rails, I’m actively exploring its fundamentals, including MVC architecture, routing, and working with databases. On the front-end side, I have solid experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, building responsive and accessible user interfaces. I had the opportunity to work briefly with Angular, where I contributed to small features in a team project. I’ve also studied Vue.js, gaining a good understanding of its component-based approach and reactivity system, though I haven’t yet applied it in real-world projects.

Junior Full Stack Web Developer recently graduated from New Vision Foundation bootcamp.

I’m a junior full stack developer with a strong focus on Ruby on Rails and front-end design. My journey into software development started with a personal desire to create tools that simplify people’s lives — from project management apps to full client websites. What began as curiosity quickly became a passion, and today I’m building full-stack web applications with real-world API integrations, OAuth authentication, PostgreSQL databases, Docker, and clean, mobile-responsive front-end design. Recently, I completed an apprenticeship where I worked on a nonprofit SaaS platform alongside a professional engineering team. There, I deepened my experience with Rails 7, complex database migrations, OAuth token management, Docker containers, and production deployment processes. I also contributed to front-end UI improvements using Bootstrap, Tailwind, and Figma wireframes to enhance usability. I take pride in my ability to bridge the gap between back-end logic and polished front-end design. My previous background in customer-facing roles taught me how to listen carefully to user needs, communicate clearly, and collaborate smoothly on a team. I'm especially passionate about building intuitive, well-organized, user-friendly applications that feel good to use — and that scale with the needs of real people. I love the balance of structure and creativity that Rails offers, and I'm excited to continue building meaningful tools that make people's lives easier. Whether it’s integrating APIs, refining complex forms, or making sure a UI flows naturally, I enjoy solving problems and learning fast. If you're looking for a junior developer who’s reliable, coachable, eager to contribute, and can deliver polished features from database to browser — I’d love to connect!

Fullstack Engineer 🚀 | Ruby | hotwire | React | Svelte

My Developer Journey: From the moment I started coding, I was hooked. What began as a simple curiosity quickly evolved into a passion that has driven my career forward. My journey as a developer started with a fascination for problem-solving and an eagerness to build something from scratch. Over the past three years, I’ve honed my skills primarily in Ruby on Rails, but my adaptability has allowed me to swiftly pick up new technologies, such as Flutter, to meet diverse client needs. This blend of deep expertise and versatility is at the core of what I bring to the table. A Recent Milestone: One of my proudest accomplishments was leading the development of a complex web application for a high-profile client. Not only did I navigate technical challenges with ease, but I also collaborated closely with the client to ensure their vision was realized. The project’s success was marked by positive client feedback and a significant boost in user engagement, which reinforced my belief in the power of a collaborative and client-focused approach. Lifelong Learning and Passion: I’m constantly driven by a desire to learn and grow. Recently, I delved into the world of spearfishing, which, although not directly related to coding, has taught me patience and precision – qualities that I bring into my development work. My current read, ‘Million Dollar Weekend’ by Noah Kagan, is further fueling my entrepreneurial spirit, aligning with my long-term goal of launching my own SaaS startup. Unique Skills and Contributions: What sets me apart is my unique combination of technical skills and a genuine passion for innovation. I’m adept at picking up new tools and frameworks quickly, a trait that has proven invaluable in fast-paced, ever-evolving projects. My collaborative nature ensures that I work seamlessly with teams, contributing ideas and solutions that drive projects forward. Additionally, my experience in both small startups and larger projects allows me to navigate different environments and deliver results that exceed expectations.
