I had a few options and decided to go through The Odin Project, since it was more focused on projects than tutorials. Upon completing the foundations course I chose to embark on the Ruby on Rails path over Node Js and full in love with using Rails and programming in Ruby. I'm still working through the curriculum slowly, but I have started working on personal projects and even made a website, hosted on AWS EC2 instance, for my girlfriend to show off her arts and crafts. I graduated from the Turing School of Software & Design, studying back-end tools such as Ruby on Rails, RESTful APIs, GraphQL applications, and SQL. I also have exposure to front-end elements such as React, HTML and CSS, and I am in the process of teaching myself Javascript through Youtube and The Odin Project. I love to write clean, professional code, with an emphasis on TDD (Test Driven Development). I decided to enter software engineering so that I may use my analytical and creative brain to make a difference in the world. In the fall of 2017 I enrolled in Case Western Reserve University's Coding Bootcamp, a 26 week program dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of Full Stack Web Development. Second Generation is a fast-paced small team where I continued to grow as a RoR developer; honing both my back end and front end skills.
