I’ve always been fascinated by the intersection of creativity and technology. My coding journey began when I discovered how a few lines of code could transform an idea into a fully functioning application. From that point on, I was hooked: I poured countless hours into experimenting with everything from Ruby on Rails to more modern JavaScript frameworks. Over the years, I’ve refined my skills and found my passion in building clean, maintainable systems that put user experience first. One of my proudest earliest accomplishments involved leading a small team to develop a custom internal tool that automated a tedious data-entry process. Seeing the hours of manual work drop to just a few minutes was incredibly rewarding—it reminded me why I love being a developer in the first place. I’m constantly seeking new ways to grow: whether that’s diving into emerging technologies, improving my testing strategies, or exploring new coding paradigms, I believe there’s always more to learn. Above all, I thrive on solving tricky problems in ways that others might not have considered. I love collaborating with designers, project managers, and fellow developers to turn concepts into polished products. I bring a unique blend of empathy, curiosity, leadership and technical expertise that helps me bridge communication gaps and ensure every project is set up for success. Helping teams build something truly meaningful is what drives me—and I’m excited for what comes next.

Lead dev specialising in clean, maintainable code and keeping tech debt low

I'm a full-stack Rails developer with experience building robust, scalable products, whether as a Ruby monolith or with TypeScript/ReactJS frontends. I've been working with Rails for over 10 years (since version 3.x) and have specialised in creating and maintaining codebases that are easy for teams to read, understand, and maintain. Key to those goals are: using standardised code styles (ensuring RuboCop and the team's practices are perfectly aligned) writing well-structured, easy-to-understand and fast tests constructive and collaborative code reviews ensuring documentation, from git histories to READMEs and other materials (online and offline) records useful, meaningful information that can be easily kept up to date and in sync with any code changes I've recently been adding GraphQL to my skill set, which also includes PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Redis and other languages (Swift, PHP, JavaScript, and more). On the front end, I have experience with both Rails' native toolset and ReactJS, Next.js, and React Native. I also have experience with platform-native toolsets, such as SwiftUI, to deliver applications that feel intrinsically part of the user’s mobile experience. I've worked on projects of various sizes, from scheduling and booking software for a major tech training company to systems that enable TV distributors to sell thousands of hours of programming worldwide. Ideally, I'm looking to work on products with which I can feel personally invested – an exciting product or tech-for-good project would definitely suit me better than a fintech role.

Did a front end internship, but ruby on rails is my focus for now.

I’m a junior web developer with a strong focus on front-end technologies and currently learning Ruby on Rails to deepen my understanding of back-end development. Although I’m still at an early stage with Rails, I’m actively exploring its fundamentals, including MVC architecture, routing, and working with databases. On the front-end side, I have solid experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, building responsive and accessible user interfaces. I had the opportunity to work briefly with Angular, where I contributed to small features in a team project. I’ve also studied Vue.js, gaining a good understanding of its component-based approach and reactivity system, though I haven’t yet applied it in real-world projects.

Experienced Rails developer dedicated to the craft of engineering

Most recently, I worked at Rhino, a startup in the proptech space. I joined the integrations team where I built the core infrastructure to integrate with partner systems. I also worked on various projects ranging from designing APIs and fixing bugs to implementing features. This role allowed me to contribute significantly to the company's growth and success. Prior to Rhino, I worked at the New York City Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications. There, I was involved in renovating and upgrading several city products and services. This experience honed my skills in working with legacy systems and integrating them with modern technologies, further deepening my expertise in Ruby on Rails. In addition to my professional experience, I launched loominex.io, a maintenance management system that I built from the ground up. This entrepreneurial venture allowed me to explore the full spectrum of product development, from sketching the UI and designing the database schema to choosing the right tools and structuring the Rails project. Although the venture did not ultimately succeed, it was an invaluable learning experience that enriched my skills and knowledge. I am passionate about the craft of engineering and have dedicated my career to Ruby on Rails for over six years. My unique blend of startup experience, government work, and entrepreneurial ventures positions me well to tackle complex challenges and deliver robust, user-centered solutions. I thrive in collaborative environments and am always eager to contribute to innovative projects and dynamic teams.
