My name is Artsiom and I have worked as a software engineer since 2013, that is more than 11 years of experience as of now.
I started my career as a Ruby and Ruby on Rails engineer and after some time I added Sinatra to my experience.
Besides Ruby, I have experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB. Also, I have experience in Front-end development with pure JavaScript and its libraries (jQuery, React.js, Node.js).
Since 2013 I have taken part in different projects in different domains: fintech, e-education, real estate, and promo. On projects where I participated, we usually used scrum or kanban.
I have participated in architectural decisions, team leading, leading code reviews. I have experience in building applications from scratch and improving legacy code base, optimizing performance and tuning security. I have covered applications by test from scratch and have added tests into existing projects for increase coverage (as usual use RSpec, VCR, RSwag, Cypress).
Also, I have an experience as a Ruby Tech Lead. The team was 8 engineers with different levels. In this role, I participated in pre-sales activities (communicating with future customers, providing estimation and technical proposals), interviewing candidates, providing feedback to teammates and from engineer to business, conducting 1-1 meetings, and mentoring.
I provide a high level of support to the customer and help to reach the goals of projects and customer's business.
