Building your next great thing with 10+ years of Ruby on Rails experience

With more than 10 years of experience in Ruby and Ruby on Rails, I have a track record of delivering high-quality solutions that meet both functional and design requirements. Throughout my career, I have collaborated closely with product managers and UI/UX designers to scope, design, and implement complex projects. I have also worked with both back end and front end technologies, including React with TypeScript. In addition, I have some experience with a variety of other programming languages, including Go, Elixir, C++, Haskell, Python, and Java, as well as developing my own toy programming languages and DSLs.

As a passionate learner, I am always looking for opportunities to work with like-minded people and build the best software possible. During my PhD, I worked on the open-source project Bohrium, which allows for automatic parallelization of NumPy and Ruby code written in C++. Additionally, my implementation of a CSP framework for Ruby benchmarked better than the Python implementation at the time.

I am comfortable working remotely and believe that effective communication is key to successful collaboration. When I am not at my computer, I enjoy geocaching, playing board games, and cooking. Jokingly, I have made stickers for my own jam brand. I am committed to becoming the best version of myself and would welcome the opportunity to bring my skills and enthusiasm to your team.
