What Makes Me Different: What distinguishes me as an engineer is my unique journey through financial systems architecture combined with a relentless focus on observability and quality. While most developers build features, I build confidence - creating systems where you not only know when something breaks, but why it broke and how to fix it. My engineering approach was forged in the high-stakes environment of processing $100M+ daily financial transactions, where 99.999% uptime wasn't a goal but a requirement. This experience taught me that truly resilient systems aren't just well-architected; they're well-observed, well-tested, and well-documented. I've transformed chaotic codebases into comprehensible systems by establishing monitoring standards, comprehensive test suites, and clear documentation that empowers entire engineering teams. Where I truly excel is bridging the gap between complex technical implementations and business value. While many engineers can build impressive systems, I create sustainable architectures that solve real business problems. At a major top 4 US Financial corporation, I didn't just modernize a Rails platform; I enabled new financial products that directly increased revenue while reducing fraud by 35%. This business-focused mindset means I approach engineering challenges not just asking "how do we build this?" but "why are we building this and how will it create value?" My passion for mentorship has led me to develop a framework for growing junior engineers that has consistently helped them advance to senior roles in half the typical time. By creating structured growth plans combined with hands-on pairing sessions focused on system design principles, I've helped eight engineers dramatically accelerate their careers. I believe that building great engineers is as important as building great software - both are essential for long-term success. What truly sets me apart is my ability to transform complexity into clarity. Whether it's untangling a legacy codebase, explaining technical constraints to product teams, or documenting intricate system interactions, I excel at making the complicated understandable. This talent for simplification doesn't just make me a better engineer; it makes everyone around me more effective.

I am a quick learner with immense passion, I like to figure things out, build stuffs.

I started my Journey, when i was 18, in computer science with learning c & cpp, the very first subject i taught myself was data structures & algorithms. Since then I loved solving problems and getting interested in it, I was deep into low-level, making cli tools, modifying linux kernel modules, and i also tried to build a basic unix-like os inspired by xv6. Although, I learnt a lot in that year, but i wanted to do something that had real impact, something that provides business values. At that time, it was obvious that only Building WebApps would mean that. So, I started learning webdev from mdn docs, just the basics like html, css, and js. I made some tiny toy projects with it, I wasn't satisfied with them I wanted to do something bigger and more "real". I searched for the answers, and I was told frameworks/libraries like React -> next.js and Vue, with nodejs-express , and db like postgresql and mongodb are to be learned to make good webapps. I kinda felt I wish there was a simpler and faster way than this. So i looked again, and was met with ruby on rails. So I started learning Ruby, and I got it in halfday, the next step was to learn rails, so i went to search for some tutorials that'll explain me the how-to of building with rails, and it felt so intuitive that i went on with it. So simple and fast, although it was not easy to understand in the first time, but as soon as i started building It got easy for me to work with it. and I learnt it in 5 days with 5 projects. From my experience, i just wanted to demonstrate my quick learning skills and fast adapting ability and curiosity to figure things out as you go and solve problems asap. Although, I have not worked as Industry-Standard Dev, which is what i am seeking. In 1 week of involvement with Professionally developing webapps, working to solve business problems, I can just quickly adapt to what is expected of me.

Looking only for contract work | 0-to-1 Development | Rails developer (12+ years) | Sidekiq | RabbitMQ | Hotwire, Stimulus and Turbo | CTO | 0-to-1 Apps

I’m a Rails developer with over 12 years of experience in software development, including 10+ years working hands-on with Ruby on Rails. Along the way, I’ve built all kinds of applications—automation tools, ERPs, inventory management systems, insurtech platforms, social media apps, and even AI-integrated solutions. I’ve always focused on creating large-scale, high-performance apps that can handle thousands of concurrent records without breaking a sweat. I’ve worked with both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases, making sure they’re set up for speed and scalability. On the backend, I’m well-versed in Sidekiq and RabbitMQ for background processing, and on the frontend, I use tools like Hotwire, Turbo, and Stimulus to make apps fast and interactive. When it comes to deployment, I’ve got plenty of experience with Google Cloud, AWS, and Fly.io, which lets me build infrastructure that’s as reliable as it is scalable. The recent apps I've developed have included AI integration with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs. At present, I'm also setting up an internal LLM for speeding up software development. What makes me stand out? I code fast. Really fast. I’m great at taking an idea from zero to a fully functioning app in just days, without cutting corners on quality. Having worked in Asia and Europe, I’ve learned how to adapt to different clients and challenges, which helps me deliver exactly what’s needed, every time. Recently, I co-founded my own software consulting firm, where I get to use my skills and experience to help businesses grow and succeed. Outside of coding, I’m passionate about dogs, I love solving crosswords, and I’m a bit of a political nerd. These hobbies keep my mind sharp and my creativity flowing, which is probably why I enjoy tackling complex coding challenges. I know Ruby and Rails inside out, and I thrive on turning big ideas into reality—quickly and efficiently. If you need someone who can hit the ground running and deliver results, I’m your developer.

Software development expert with 20+ years of experience, including team management.

Built and designed several Rails applications since 2008. Some example clients where I've contributed to their commercial platform: BraveWriter - A homeschool grammar and English literature classroom forum with annual sales of > $1M. Built an integrated ecommerce support for processing semester registration. https://bravewriter.com Anddit - A non-profit portal for connecting people in need underwritten by a biopharmaceutical company. Original site design and architecture. https://anddit.com/ Spoonflower - The original print-on-demand for fabric enterprise. Trained (refactoring, TDD) and consulted for the engineering team, as well as migrated the original Rails infrastructure through several versions. https://www.spoonflower.com/ RedHat - contributed as a member of the Katello plugin (https://theforeman.org/plugins/katello/), a Rails engine for Foreman server management application as a Senior Software Developer at RedHat. This included both active development as an individual contributor, but also reviewing and managing contributions from the open source community. I recently built a JIRA plugin for schedule forecasting Kanban teams, written of course in Rails! This plugin does simple date estimations to help teams realize the velocity of their Kanban board. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1232566/issue-forecast?hosting=cloud&tab=overview I've had experience as both an individual contributor as as a team manager/lead.
